Jerry Poole is the president and chief executive officer of Acrometis. Prior to founding Acrometis, Jerry was the Co-founder, CIO and COO of MedRisk. Prior to founding MedRisk, Jerry was employed by the Boeing Corporation and held responsibility for the design, development and implementation of high fidelity technologies and systems. With Kevin Kilroy and Jerry Poole as co-founders, Acrometis acquired the intellectual property that is the core of the Acrometis Expert Claims Processing Platform™ (ECPP). With more than 25 years of engineering and technology experience, Jerry’s background forms the cornerstone for the progressive development, implementation, and continued expansion of Acrometis’ innovative software systems. Jerry is the original architect of Acrometis’ comprehensive Expert Claims Processing Platform™, which he first developed in 2002 as the result of a business requirement to eliminate inefficiencies within the worker’s compensation industry. Jerry has led the product development and operational growth, as well as the recruitment and development of the exceptional team that is the heart of Acrometis’ highly regarded technology and operations.
Jerry received a Master of Business Administration in finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Kansas State University. Jerry is an active supporter of The Wharton School, is often a contributor and participant in industry conferences, the author of notable contributions within the workers’ compensation industry focusing on the technology needs and requirements for optimal efficiency while improving operating outcomes. Jerry and his family reside in Chester County Pennsylvania where he is also an active member of his church’s leadership.
Susan brings more than 20 years of experience in a succession of executive roles leading strategic planning and operations for prominent companies in the managed care, and property and casualty arena. Her career demonstrates a track record of success in growing corporate operations to support revenue growth.
As Executive Vice President, Susan is responsible for Operations, Project Delivery and Software Development. She oversees all aspects of day-to-day internal operations, manages human resources and ensures HIPAA privacy and compliance throughout the organization. This role demands strong leadership and analytics, and dedication to quality control.
Prior to Acrometis Susan held roles of increasing responsibility in operations and privacy and compliance as Vice President of Core Administration for MedRisk, Inc. Before joining MedRisk, Susan grew her career at AIG where she started as a Senior Underwriter, eventually departing the firm as National Director of Operations for AIG Risk Management.
Susan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Millersville University in Pennsylvania.
Bruce Kabrich brings more than 30 years of experience in Workers’ Compensation IT system, security, and process engineering to Acrometis. He has been the Chief Security Officer at Acrometis since it was founded and works to ensure IT security and regulatory compliance, supporting the development team with his extensive background in the industry. Prior to the founding of Acrometis he worked for 16 years at MedRisk Inc., the leading provider of managed physical medicine in the industry, as both IT Manager and Chief Security Officer. Before joining MedRisk Bruce worked at the Boeing Company for 10 years on various projects such as; avionics design on the V-22 Osprey tiltrotor, hardware design manager on the LHX program, which later became the RAH-66 Comanche, and leader of a Capital Equipment Factory Integration (CEFIT) Team which provided advanced industrial automation for the Boeing 777 project.
Bruce founded and ran Kabrich Electronics during his time in college, specializing in hospital electronic systems installation and maintenance. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Wichita State University. Bruce is also a veteran, serving in the Air Force first on a Titan II ICBM Combat Crew, then on an alternate command post crew, and finally on an instructor crew before leaving to attend college.
Chris Shannahan is Senior Vice President of Sales for Acrometis. Chris handles sales activities for the company’s advanced workers’ compensation decisions management and workflow software suite, CLAIMExpert. He has a 34 year background in systems development, operations management and sales in the insurance and managed care marketplace.
At his predecessor company, Mitchell (Formerly Fair Isaac, HNC Software and CompReview), Chris served in a variety of roles including chief operating officer for the former HNC Insurance Solutions Division and before that, CompReview, which was acquired by HNC Software in 1996.
He joined CompReview from Zenith Insurance Company, where he served as AVP of managed care for the company’s operations in Sarasota, Florida and Woodland Hills, CA. There, he was responsible for delivery of integrated bill review and managed care platforms, which combined bill review, utilization review, network strategy and case management into the company’s claims system. He attended the University of Connecticut and graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Mathematics and Actuarial Sciences.
Vinu Varghese is the Vice President of IT at Acrometis and brings with him over 15 years of software development experience. In his role, Vinu oversees all IT functions providing technology platforms and solutions that support Acrometis’ role as the leader in workers’ compensation claims processing.
Prior to joining Acrometis Vinu served in multiple leadership roles at IBM, managing a global workforce responsible for the development of its Smarter Workforce Initiative. Prior to IBM, Vinu led a global production support organization at Kenexa and was responsible for the support of its product suite. During this time Vinu also led an Enterprise Architecture team who was responsible for the integration into IBM’s product suite during Kenexa’s acquisition. Prior to Kenexa, Vinu held multiple technical leadership positions at the Vanguard Group where he was responsible for the software development of Vanguard’s Institutional website.
Vinu holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Drexel University.
